POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION PURPOSE Leads their assigned merchandising departments strategy session with the MMM and Production Supervisor. Capture the creative direction, as an output of the departmental strategy session, and ensures that Mass Print follows the strategy. Responsible for day-to-day creative execution and external and internal creative coordination. Primary conduit/liaison between the agency and THD business units. Oversee communication on creative execution to merchandising and advertising partners. On-going coordination with creative leadership team to ensure that page outputs are cohesive with departmental strategy for page layouts.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Day-to-day supervision of all external creative agencies on work in progress. Partners with Advertising creative leadership on advance planning deliverables and with Project Managers to meet or exceed scheduling task and milestone deadlines. Responsible for regular status reporting between agency and THD and Production Supervisors, on project outlines, key deliverables and deadlines. Keeps THD Production team abreast of all changes during the preplanning stage of production that will affect production milestones and deliverables * Regular follow up with internal and team to ensure information is prepared and either turned over to agency partners in a timely manner and in accordance to THD production schedules or work is built in house according to the production schedule depending on the project. Primary point of contact for National Advertising, Merchandising Marketing Managers and associated advertising agency partners as it relates to a 360 degree marketing plan and how it is communicated via mass print. * Primary owner of creative execution based on merchant direction/strategy/messaging during preplanning and execution through to final release to the printers. Attends all preplanning sessions, pertinent to mass print, scheduled by business partners throughout the organization. Coordinate with merchandising, creative and production to ensure that all creative direction and expectations of THD leadership team are met or exceeded. * Maintain quality control. Keep consistent with the direction from the Creative Director, Merchandising leadership, and Marketing Managers ensuring that the product displayed maintains the brand identity and departmental strategy * Ensures agency work remains current with all THD standards/guidelines/file specs. Be the conduit between the agency and the voice of THD to ensure deliverables are met. * Assists the Creative Manager with budgets pertaining to production for forecasting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for page production.

NATURE AND SCOPE * Typcailly reports to Manager - Creative * Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS * Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. * Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. ESSENTIAL SKILLS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Must be eighteen years of age * Must pass the Drug Test * Must pass the Background Check * Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

EDUCATION REQUIRED - * The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor-s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Previous experience in a creative environment as a creative leader essential. Retail environment or advertising agency preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES * Graphic design skills with expert knowledge of current design programs as well as strong writing abilities. * Practical business experience that allows for a bigger picture view of individual projects and how they fit into the entire communications effort. * Ability to concept, present and execute. Act as an exemplary representative of CEA in its dealings with internal clients and external vendors with the ability to interact comfortably with executives at highest levels of the Company. Strong client management skills with flawless follow up. * Bring a higher level of consciousness and awareness to the job by providing creative solutions to projects, demonstrating ability to problem-solve and organize.
