POSITION DESCRIPTION This position is located at 8920 Pershall Rd., Hazelwood, MO 63042. We are accepting online applications for both part-time and full-time positions (20 - 30+ hours per week). These are ongoing positions and therefore not considered seasonal/holiday only. Visit us on-line atwww.homedecorators.com TRAINING AND WORK SCHEDULE DETAILS Mandatory Classroom Training will be Monday through Thursday, 12 noon - 6:00 PM, December 7 - December 30, 2009 (training will not take place on December 24th or 25th). Work shifts range between the hours of 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12 noon - 7:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM and individuals must be available to work five (5) days per week, including Monday, Wednesday, Friday and one weekend day every week.
POSITION PURPOSE Take phone orders and provide professional customer service in an efficient and courteous manner. Increase profits by offering upsell/cross-sell items and reducing cancels/returns when applicable. DUTIES * Answer incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy to encourage and increase the number of repeat customers * Enter orders into the computer system quickly and accurately * Respond effectively to customer inquiries regarding size, color and other product or service information * Document potential customer service issues and forward to a Customer Service Supervisor where necessary * Offer upsells on every applicable call * Accurately document what problem the customer is having, what is being done to solve the problem and who is responsible for servicing the customer * Actively participate in team/Customer Service Center departmental meetings * Service customers efficiently and wrap up calls in a timely manner to keep Average Handle Time to a minimum * Follow all Quality Assurance guidelines to ensure a high level of service for our customers * Utilize Save the Sale steps to reduce return/cancel rate ESSENTIAL SKILLS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Must be eighteen years of age * Must have a high school diploma/GED * Must pass the Drug Test * Must pass the Background Check * Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS * Six (6) months of previous customer service experience or related work experience * Call Center experience preferred * Keyboarding speed of 25+ WPM * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong problem solving and judgment skills Qualified candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule and a minimum of 20 hours per week. Some weeks may include mandatory additional hours, which may include overtime hours (where applicable).
