POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION PURPOSE -The Developer will be part of a supply chain transformation team for The Home Depot (THD). The supply chain transformation project will implement the best in class processes and software tools over the next few years to ensure that the company is a leader in supply chain. The candidate needs to have knowledge in distribution processes and how it works in the overall supply chain model.The Developer should have at least 1 - 3 years experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, and/or SQL Server. Should have experience in Business Intelligence solutions in the Supply Chain space. Having exposure to or working with Manhattan WMS or related WMS's in the Business Intelligence space will be a plus.Has a solid understanding of business requirements and design of reporting solutions to meet those requirements. Coordinate/collaborate with Architecture, Integration, Data Warehouse, and Infrastructure Teams on design and environment setup.Should have 1 or 2 full lifecycle project experience of implementing Business Intelligence solutions for Fortune 100 companies.Updates the Lead Developer or Manager or Sr. Manager on day to day activities and status.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES ?? Implement Business Intelligence solutions for Supply Chain? Work with the business team to properly define requirements? Participate in requirements definition, design, development, configuration, testing and go-live of complex projects.? Potentially perform some reporting production support duties.? Ensure compliance and conduct appropriate analysis and / or test reviews on assigned projects.? Interface with Business Stakeholders, IT Integration teams, IT Infrastructure teams, Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly met

NATURE AND SCOPE -Typically reports to Manager, Information TechnologyNo direct responsibility for supervising others.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.ESSENTIAL SKILLSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

EDUCATION REQUIRED -The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ?? Supply Chain experience preferred; Retail/business experience a plus? BS Computer Science or related field? Proficient knowledge of Business Intelligence and Reporting tools within the Supply Chain space? IT background with mastery of SQL and knowledge of data transformation tools like SSIS, Abinitio, and Mercator? Knowledge of IT project lifecycle? Proficiency Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint? Knowledge of Distribution Business Processes? Motivated with a strong sense of urgency
