POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION PURPOSE The Manager, PMO HD.com is responsible for managing the on time and on budget delivery of strategic HD.com initiatives. Institutes and executes the processes by which all projects are managed, tracked and reported in a consistent manner. Accountable for delivering against key project indicators, including schedule, budget, technical delivery and business readiness. Provides leadership for driving stakeholders toward successful implementations. Maintains a centralized view of all initiatives, their prioritization and their interdependence for delivering against organizational objectives. Facilitates the prioritization and implementation of strategic online initiatives.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Project Management: Identifies scope and objectives of project; identifies and secures resource needs for project; develops and executes project plan; manages resources deliverables and timeline; communicates status and results. Provides accurate reporting and analysis to determine results and business impact. * Strategic Analysis: Identifies business strategies and objectives based on thorough understanding of the business; performs project risk assessments; identifies key business risks and opportunities; analyzes and communicates results. * Change Management: Drives change through communication of vision and objectives to gain organizational buy in. Prioritizes and integrates changes into normal business practice and develops support structures to ensure sustainability.
NATURE AND SCOPE * Position reports to Sr. Director, PMO * No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS * Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. * Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. ESSENTIAL SKILLS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Must be eighteen years of age * Must pass the Drug Test * Must pass the Background Check * Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Masters Degree and PMP certification * Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership * Previous experience working in a PMO * Retail / ecommerce experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to lead and manage cross functionally * Project Management experience in a corporate environment * High degree of confidentiality and professionalism
