POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION PURPOSE -The Home Depot is currently going through the largest supply chain transformation in history. This transformation includes a complete replacement of THDs Transportation Systems and processes. The candidate filling this position will have responsibility for a large portion of this transformation including accountability of supporting these projects & large user base. This candidate will be a seasoned professional with values consistent with the Home Depot core values, focused on Excellent Customer Service, Doing the Right Thing, Taking Care of our People, Building Strong Relationships, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Respect for all People, Giving Back, and Creating Shareholder Value.The candidate will have responsibility and accountability of supporting transportation systems, detailed understanding of user needs, and the ability to present status and strategy to business and IT leadership. The candidate must have an expert knowledge of Manhattan Associates Transportation Lifecycle Management Suite as well as global understanding of trends in Transportation and supply chain technology. The Sr. IT Developer has the ability to guide and direct support teams during crisis calls, identify root causes of outages, plan infrastructure capacity based on the current & future load,and implement automated proactive monitoring/troubleshooting of complex applications/ programs. Must be able to present ideas and articulate toIT and business leadership. The Sr. IT Developer must work closely with project teams and ensure highest quality implementations from designthrough QA to production. The Sr. IT Developer must build relationships with business to meet their needs and other support teams to provide bestsystem support overall. Leads team and assists other project leads in the day-to-day activities related to support work. The Sr. IT Developer musthave and be able to promote an appropriate sense of urgency in regard to deliverables and support, and be able to effectively partner with / leadthe business to develop and deliver supply chain solutions.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Define, prioritize, plan and implement solutions across multiple complex projects.? Ensure the team comprehends and applies established processes, policies, standards and procedures.? Provide status reports to leadership and review boards on complex projects.? Provide infrastructure strategy and direction based on user & data growth.? Guide and direct support teams in proactive monitoring, identifying root causes of outages and recommending solutions.? Ensure compliance and conduct appropriate analysis and / or test reviews on assigned projects.? Ensure staffing levels are met and communicate gaps to leadership.? Aid in talent review? Must have a desire and an appetite to support one of the biggest and challenging supply chain environments? Expert knowledge of Manhattan Associates Transportation management System with at least one complete implementation of the TMS product suite.? IT background with mastery of SQL, DB2, AIX, basic scripting? Ability to manage resources, projects, and develop support strategy.? Minimum years of relevant experience - 5? Mastery of Transportation Business Processes.? Motivated with a strong sense of urgency and able to convey urgency to other teams.? Uses the synergistic power of team planning to achieve goals? Able to stay focused when faced with emergency situations
NATURE AND SCOPE -Typically reports to Manager, Information TechnologyNo associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.ESSENTIAL SKILLSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
EDUCATION REQUIRED -The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES -
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Expert knowledge with databases.7-10 years of related experience.Previous experience in technical project leadership role. Retail/business experience a plus.BS Computer Science or related field, MS a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -Ability to work independently with minimal direction.Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical.Understands the financial implications of the project (i.e. software capitalization, cost/benefits, etc.).Strong decision making abilities.Ability to lead and mentor others.
