POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION PURPOSE This position directs a team of people who support all merchandising departments in the development of the off shelf and cross merchandising programs. This individual will have responsibility for identifying inventory requirements for IPR, partnering with finance to measure program effectiveness and communicating all merchandising direction to stores. The team also is responsible for fielding questions from store and other field associates. This individual will hold a leadership role focused on developing, managing and communicating the company-s off shelf merchandising program.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * 30% Partner with SSC and field merchants to plan the off shelf and cross merchandising programs. With support of off shelf merchandising team, educate merchants on the rules of engagement, off shelf merchandising planning tools, and any changes to overall program. Help merchants find solutions to problems (SKU changes, product availability issues, etc.). * 30% Produce printed documents for store associates that summarize the merchandising direction for the off shelf, cross merchandising and other merchandising programs as needed. Define the production timeline, including merchant review and agency deadlines. Manage agency partners who produce the documents, including timelines, deliverables and performance metrics. Responsible for final proof of all documents. * 15% Manage business partnership with IPR. Meet weekly with IPR to discuss issues and concerns. Partner with IPR to resolve any discrepancies with merchants. Act as the point of consolidation for all SKU updates and changes, including any supply chain concerns. * 10% In partnership with merchants and vendors, set end caps and register stackouts at the IC each quarter. Provide leadership on quarterly IC walk to ensure leadership understands the merchants strategy and any in-store presentation concerns. Create a summary of the IC walk decisions and work with merchants on any issues and requests. * 10% Work with Director of Off Shelf Merchandising on special projects and ad hoc requests as needed. * 5% Partner with store communications to manage the Map area of my Apron to ensure information is presented efficiently to store associates.
NATURE AND SCOPE Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Minimum Qualifications * Must be eighteen years of age or older. * Must pass the Drug Test. * Must pass the Background Check. * Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.
EDUCATION REQUIRED The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES * Proven ability to perform in a changing and fast paced retail environment * Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and other colleagues and demonstrate initiative, mature judgment, customer service orientation, and ability to anticipate needs of the organization * Strong communication skills, both oral and written * Strong project management skills, plans, organizes and completes projects in the shortest, most efficient manner, intense commitment to successfully completing all projects
