<br><br><b>MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</b> -
Tactical Responsibilities

* Daily operational stability reports and reviews are accurate and on time.

* Post incident analysis (PIAs) are completed in a timely manner and provide the level of detail necessary to accurately assess incidents and identify improvements.

* Post incident actions are appropriately identified and tracked through completion.

* Problem management metrics are captured and reported accurately and on time.

* Ensure problem management activities are value-added and properly prioritized.

* Communicate problem management details (reports, metrics, action items, etc.) as required.

* Review upcoming changes and identify potential implementation risks.
Strategic Responsibilities

* Assess current problem management processes for effectiveness.

* Identify improvements in the current problem management processes and implement these improvements.

* Identify and implement improvements to the problem management data gathering and reporting.

As Senior Systems Analyst/Engineer you will provide a high level, broad spectrum of systems analysis, engineering, and project management for Quality Assurance Store Infrastructure team. Perform installation, maintenance and support of system software, hardware and infrastructure and user support for moderately complex projects. May oversee this effort if acting in team lead capacity.
Perform store & SSC engineering and roll-out implementation.
Perform configuration, debugging and support for infrastructure platform for moderately complex projects.
Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures.
Provide technical direction to System and Associate Engineers, Operations Specialists, and contractors.
Interface with Business Stakeholders on all applicable projects. Update manager on all escalated issues.

Knowledge and experience with computer hardware, operating systems and system software.

* Strong knowledge of system architecture and software quality assurance methodologies.
* Broad-based "IT technical generalist" skills and proven ability to effectively multitask to keep projects moving across all fronts.
* Experience in project management as well as using SDLC or like processes to manage projects. Ability to listen to user issues and translate to determine appropriate technical solution.
* Ability to work autonomously and use strong technical troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve a variety of system architecture issues.
* Ability to communicate proactively and concisely at all levels within the organization both verbal and written.
* Strong skills using accepted change control management processes.
* Knowledge of UNIX and Linux server architecture, 3 and 4 tier web / app server architecture, operations architecture, configuration management, and hands on technical support required for position.
* Experience with server virtualization (VM Ware) a big plus.

* BS Computer Science or related field.

* 5-7 years experience is preferred.
