POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION PURPOSEAnalyzes financial reports and records, prepares monthly account reconciliations for property tax accounts, prepares journal entries, enters monthly forecast, and coordinates with other property tax staff to make sure that accounts are accurate. Assists in the planning and implementation of strategies for the minimization of property tax expense. Assists in the preparation of annual real estate and personal property tax budgets.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES* Prepares and analyzes income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports.* Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.* Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures.* Instructs or assigns work to bookkeepers, accounting clerks and other associates engaged in general accounting activities.* Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions.* Participates in financial reporting.

NATURE AND SCOPE* This position typically reports to the Tax Manager.* No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS* Located in a comfortable indoor area.* Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.* Examples include: telephone operator and file clerk.* Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.ESSENTIAL SKILLSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -* Must be eighteen years of age or older.* Must pass the Drug Test.* Must pass the Background Check.* Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -* The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 1

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -* One to four years of experience is preferred.
